hello shawn,
module 1:
a cv-compressor is a nice idea, but it can already be done by
patching existing modules. what i'd find more interesting
is a tube compressor module, but i doubt that doepfer will
produce such things. but anyway, a compressor is always useful.
such a design should also have an internal expander-function,
which prevents system noise to be amplified with very small signals.
hmm how about using vactrols for a compressor module
that would make a difference to the now possible compressor-patch
and opto-compressors sound nice.
module 2:
i'm not really interested in a tape device, too complicated
mechanics, too big. i'd stick to the old rolands or dynacords.
module 3:
indeed interesting, but i have no idea how nearby audio modules
will react, especially vco's with connection to the system bus.
if there is no problem here, i'd be interested in such a module,
sounds like a lot of fun.
best wishes
ingo
