HI LIST,
TODAY I TESTED MY A105 PROTOTYPE FOR THE FIRST TIME:sounds AMAZING!!i
particularly liked the 18db output sound(i don't have an a103 18db
lowpass to compare it,though...).BUT, most impressing of all was the
feedback/emphasis feature...i connected the 24db output to an a125
phase shifter(modulated by a slow lfo) and then to the feedback input
and the 18db output to a mixer>vca>amplifier ,turned the emphasis
knob to the right and...very impressing sounds start to come out of
my speakers!!with the correct settings i managed to make a heavily-
terribly-awefully(!!!) distorted sound that souns like nothing else i
have created so far...i hope,in a few days the wav. will be in the
doepfer site...
apart from this, the emphasis, even if you connect another filter
output of the a105,has a "special" quality,a little strange at
times, and that's the beauty of it!!
by the way,the module panel says:a105 VCF8,not vcf7 as the website
page says, and also, the outputs from top to
bottom:BP,24LP,18LP,12LP,6LP.they are in the opposite order of the
a105 picture of the doepfer site...anyway that is collector's stuff...
in a few days my first impressions of the A108 prototype will
come,also...
