hello peter,
doepfer frames with power supplies can be ordered
with 110 or 220 volts. blacet power supplies are switchable
between 110 and 220 volts. you don't have to modify any
modules for that, but you have to make sure that you use
the right power supply for the modules, suitable for your country.
you can't use a single power supply for doepfer and all
the blacet modules, because blacet modules need 15 volts,
doepfer only need 12 volts (and sometimes additional 5 volts).
i can recommend the blacet stuff, very cool modules
and very well designed. but there is one difference between
doepfer and blacet. for example, if you want to fully
open a doepfer vca, you need a cv of +5 volts.
to fully open a blacet vca, you need a cv of +10 volts.
this means that a doepfer envelope won't be able to fully
open a blacet vca. if you use an unattenuated blacet envelope
on a doepfer vca, the signal will probably be amplified
to more than normal. so you have to take extra care when you
choose your modules.
best wishes
ingo
