hello cuari,
sorry, i've totally forgotten about your question.
yes, you can square up audio waves with an a167,
but the resulting square wave will not be bipolar
as usual (-5v to +5v), it will be unipolar positive
(0v to around +10v). you can do pulsewidth modulation
too via the In- jack. several weeks ago i tried to get
a pulsewave out of a self-oscillating filter (a105)
and it worked surprisingly well. the pulsewave was
far from being perfect (looked at it on an oscilloscope),
but sounded quite nice.
maybe we will have a patch example on www.modular-planet.de
