hello anders,
yes,i have read almost all of the SOS reviews
regarding Integrator and doepfer A100.they seem to
prefer the integrator, but the a100 review is much much
older!
my opinion if you live in europe, the a100 is much
cheaper,so,for me there is no question that the a100
is preferable, just for the better price alone.
if we leave price aside, they both have a great
sound,and they both can sound very warm.(and i don't
care what chris carter says about the a100 sound.)
the a100 with the a108 filter to me sounds awesome and
warm!
if i had to pick one of the two modulars for warmth,i
would pick the a100!but, i like BOTH the a100 and the
integrator sound.to me the integrator sounds more
british.
the a100 has,of course a lot of different and very
advanced new modules, and the integrator also has quite
a few very advanced and expensive modules, too(look at
the new great rs370 polyphonic harmonic generator!).
the bottom line is:start with doepfer(with most of the
cheaper basic modules, and then add the really awesome
advanced modules from doepfer and AS integrator.)
if you want, you can build two separate modulars, one
a100 and one integrator.that's what i have done,as i
really like both!
bakis.
