hello anders,
i like the a111's because they are very easy to set up
(octave switch and perfect tracking due to the usage
of the cem 3340 vco chip) and their linear fm capabilities.
the rs95 has the advantage of adjustable waveshapes on
every waveform, but tuning is not that easy as on the doepfer.
my opinion is that especially the pulsewave of the rs95
sounds totally great, but the a111 has the better triangle
waveform. so it is hard to say which is the better sounding one.
all i can say is that i reach for my a111's more often, because
of the ease of use.
i don't have all asys filters (only rs500e, rs360, rs120), but i
don't use them as often as my doepfer filters (i own all
filters available from doepfer), so i cannot say anything
about rs100 and rs110.
there are some doepfer filters i really like.
these are a108 (great sound, i love that bandpass
output), a124 (for dirty stuff, great for drumloops),
a105 (if i need self-oscillation for basslines at very low
frequencies), a107 (for variety) and a127 (for filter animations).
best wishes
