Hi Bakis,

I would try to use one first, to understand why they so are sought
after. Playing a touch plate like the 219 and the 221 is an
experience that is indescribable, you have touch it to believe it.
There are certain limits due to the age of the components, but they
are highly usable and very functional.

Again, you have to appreciate the functionality of the unit to
understand why the price is more pricey then the others. You are
talking about 12 osc's, 18 filters, 8vca's, source of uncertainty,
matrix mixer,2 of the most sophisticated sequencers ever built, quad
spatial mixer and 8 function generators. Now include midi and
computer patch recall and include it in a very tight and elegant
case, I would think that there is value in such a system. You are
talking about more than 52 modules here. I would have to think that
is a bargain so to speak, since they are designed Mr. Buchla.
