Just a quick note, before anyone gets too excited.
These are good options, if your doing something odd with your system, like using a different psu, etc. but, if anyone starts
considering that its a good way to save on the cost of a new g6, then don't forget to figure in the cost of the power supply, the
busboards, little things like the IEC socket for the rear of the case, etc. Even a pack of spacers for the psu mounting will add,
so remember all these costs too.
I built my own cases, but for reasons other than cost. If you just want a cheap g6, just make sure you do the sums properly : )
Although the doepfer ones look expensive there isnt much in it at the end of the day, unless you start thinking about going properly
diy, and doing the psu as well. And, even then, im not sure...
In no way wanting to devalue the information here. Its valuable, but in the right context....

(fears increased lfo interference <from recent thread> as cases are daisychained off one psu ; )

I did a bit of research today (Iguss I ought to have been working,
really).
To buy a 3U case (without power) will cast c.£30 ( 45)
To build from scratch a 6U case (with partial top and bottom)
c.£57 ( 84) and a 6U with full top and bottoms c. £69 ( 101).
Add to this shipping plus any front plates and distribution boards
you need.
