i have both the rs120 comb filter and the rs500e ems filter.
the comb filter cannot be compared with lowpass filters really,
because it is a bbd-based design and works more like a flanger.
the rs500e is a nice sounding filter and more suitable to
replace your rs100 moog lowpass. the ems diode filters sound
quite different compared to the moog ladder filters and
it is a matter of taste which sounds better.
but you said that you don't like the moog type that much,
so the rs500e should be a good idea.
