You can trigger them from many sources, depending upon the patch
you're playing with. They can trigger from a Master clock pulse -
from SQ8 gate output, from an LFO, from a keyboard gate output, or
the gate output from a MIDI to CV converter. You can even trigger
them using a CV output from the SQ8 - VERY useful. On the SQ8, you
can't turn off a gate pulse. You CAN switch off the CV output from
one or more of the 8 output pots, but the gate pulse remains (a
slight shortcoming of the SQ8 to save costs), but you CAN trigger
using the CV - which means you CAN switch that off and have
syncopated output rhythms to drive your Concussor modules !
I frequently hook up all my concussor array to my four SQ8s - all
running from a single master clock, but using the CV outputs, then I
can cancel out certain pulses by switching off certain pots on the
SQ8s - great rhythms !
