i've asked dieter about a midi controlled matrix and he recommended
starting a poll to see what the interest is like. please vote to
express your opinion.
i have an analogue solutions "synapse" computer controlled 16x16
matrix, which is great but could be improved upon. they only made 9 of
those and are no longer in production.
this looks really interesting:

something like this could make at least a 16x16 matrix possible:

with four of those you'd have a 32x32 programmable signal matrix
this has always seemed like one of the greatest things to have for
those who use modular synths, especially live. imagine patch
sequencing, voltage controlled patch switching, waveshaping, etc. and
of course simply having dozens of your favorite patches instantly
available.
hans, you say you don't know what we're missing, do you have something
like this yourself or do you mean the vcs3 matrix
i have a synthi aks, but of course those matrixes aren't programmable.
still a very elegant alternative to patch cords, though.
