I am not really sure, but as far as I know, the first series of A130/131
used Curtis ICs (CEM3382 ) as VCAs. The A132 always used a cicuit based
on the IC CA3080A. The CA3080 is a little bit less good as the Curtis
Chip. The new series of A130/131 uses the CA3080 too, since the Curtis
Chip is no longer available or too expensive.

Most of the synths built between 1974 and 1980 use CA3080 as VCAs. So
what is good for Moog or Roland, should be good enough for us too... ;-)
