hello to all !
i hope everyone had a pleasant christmas !
first, my tale -
way back in 1978 i was lucky enough to be able to purchase a 6 panel serge
modular. i had the synth for many years and was very happy with it. in 1992,
some life crises forced me to sell the machine to an old friend that also had a
serge modular. so, while saddened, at least i knew the machine went to a good
home.
well, a couple of weeks ago, that friend contacted me - it seems he`s
re-doing his entire studio and over the years has gone increasingly digital / midi.
his serge use has decreased to the point where his original system is enough
for his needs and did i want to buy back my system for the same price i sold it
for naturally, my answer was an excited "yes!". it should be here in a
couple of weeks. :^)
because it isn`t as compact as my doepfer stuff and i am somewhat space
limited and need to make some room and because the serge will duplicate all of core
functions of my current system.............
we get to the "for sale" -
doepfer basic system 1 - very good condition (no worn faceplates, no bad
jacks) : $1200, i`ll pay shipping.
this is a great system for a beginner to start with or an existing user to
expand his core functionality with.

p.s. - doesn`t mean i`m forsaking doepfer - in fact, i hope to add the wave
multiplier and steiner vcf soon and i definitely want to add the a154 to my
a155,that looks to be a potent combination !
