Hi,
I've raised similar issues a couple of times over the past few
months, and I'm looking for some help again.
I've just been moving modules around again, and I've noticed
that some modules don't work on my homemade case. I'm
using a Power-One 3.4A PSU, and I'm miles within the limit. I
have power going to a sub board with a 1K resistor in the 0V and
2 x 1000µF electrolytic Caps across the -12V/0V and +12V/0V
rails to act as a power resevoir. Power then goes to a
distribution board with 9 sockets. All the power rails and earths
are beefed up with wire soldered along them. Multi-metter
readings of the socket outputs show a fairly steady 12.15V.
The modules I'm having trouble with are the A125 Phaser and
the A116 Waveform Processor. When I run a LFO to the Phaser
CV, it sounds like the lower half of the wave form is below the
reach of the Phaser. When I move it back into the A Sys csae,
the problem goes away. The A116 has similar problems, and
just seems totally lack-lustre in the homemade case.
I am, however, running 5 other modules in this case with no
trouble, including a CGS formant filter, A119 Input and the A170
Slew Limiter.
Any ideas
