Your idea seems rather more complicated than Dieter's - and in either
 case we would void the warranty. I wonder if there's a way to do it
 without losing the warranty - Does Dieter offer any kind of a
 modification service where the warranty would still be okay
 I've done similar things before (modifying four of An.Sol's
 sequencers by installing a rotary switch to select the length of
 sequence, from 1 thru 8 events, and other stuff), so I think this
 wouldn't be a problem. It's just that my mixers are brand new.+
