How about -

a. That shortwave radio that some of us were discussing a few months
ago.
b. A mixer with at least 8 channels, and two rows of jack sockets -
3.5mm and the big 1/4 inch ones. Most of my peripheral equipment uses
1/4 inch jacks. Also, the row of jacks and level controls HORIZONTAL,
rather than vertical. I've had to turn my two joined-up 4 channels on
their sides, and end to end - I can't get at the knobs properly when
there's a jack in every socket !
c. For public performance - a quad controller - voltage controlled -
giving control to 4 amplifiers around a theatre, with a joystick
option (saving me the trouble of building one myself ! ).
