The interface was not the problem but the data update rate from the mouse (i
think it was ~ 10 times per second). One could hear the steps cleary (not
only in pitch, but even in filter or VCA applications). OK, one could use a
slew limiter to smooth the steps but I think this cannot be the solution. We
asked Logitec for a faster mouse interface but our expected quantities (e
few hundreds at best) were uninteresting for the company. They think in
quantites of 100000 or millions.
