hello john,
i do not have a portable case, but i have mounted a
a199 spring reverb tank inside a G6 case with PSU2.
the results are very good(in comparison with the older
PSU). there is still as mall amount of hum though.
i have my second a199 tank on top of one of my
fake-wood cabinets and this tank sounds best. it has
no hum.
my opinion is that, still, the best mounting position
for the most quiet a199 operation is outside the G6
case.
sorry, no attempt to shield the reverb tank.
bakis.
