Hi Ernst (and other Doepferers),
Good to hear from you! It was seeing you use your Doepfer onstage in Berkeley a few years ago that made me decide to get one (it only took two or three years to take the plunge....)
Very interesting idea you have with the mults.
Can you post a photo of your set up on this group so I can check it out.
Thanks for the comments about flying with it. I also checked with Southwest airlines' size restriction online (the airliine I usually take), and the A-100 suitcase is well within their flying limits. One of these days I'll get myself to Chicago, and I'll schlep the synth (now that I'm using it with my live percussion thing).
(BTW, John Butcher and I are playing St Louis and Ann Arbor near the end of the month, but JB couldn't get us a gig in Chi in that timeframe. But he's promised me we'll do a proper midwest tour next year. But then again, I do have this SW airlines flight voucher burning a hole in my pocket....)
(sorry for the OT stuff gang. If you haven't heard Ernst's CDs where he plays trumpet/synth, search them out!).

Hi Gino!
I have three mults bolted end-to-end onto the black strip on top of one of my suitcases,
and it works great. Frees up that much space in the suitcase. I did it the easy (lazy ) way
though: I just bolted the whole module onto the top, using screws long enough to go into
the wood. The only downside is that you can't leave things patched into the mults when
you close the case. I get around this by using twist-ties anchored at each screw to group
the cables going to each mult (I have broken all the solder bridges so that they're groups
of 4 rather than 8); then they're easy to repatch after transport.
And the case fits fine in the overhead bin of an airplane. You should bring your system
out here to Chicago.
best regards,
Ernst

mounting the Mult (or just the jacks) is even feasible.

thinking of slicing off the sides of the mult so it is only 2 hp (and redrilling the mounting
holes). So far, that looks like the most likely scenario.
