< SO NOW, QUIT PUTTING OUT ANY MORE
NEW "THINGIES". RATHER, GO BACK AND REVISE (IMPROVE) THE EXISTING
MODULES, OBVIOUSLY AIDED BY THE FEEDBACK FROM YOUR CUSTOMERS, AND
KEEP SELLING A PRODUCT THAT WILL HAVE STAYING POWER.
I've gotta ask this question: What then How to make the fixes available
Offer all these mods to the users how Do we all send each module back to
Doepfer one at a time for fixes of a resistor here and a cap there Or just
on new sold modules That leaves out this wide customer base who has
modules that might need tweaked. How about release the fixes as kits That
a) makes schematics available where Doepfer may not want them available, and
b) creates ALL SORTS of warranty problems.
My point is that creates the kind of HUGE logistical problem that takes
companies down financially.
I'm not saying that things shouldn't be fixed, but you see the problem
MOTM can offer to fix modules for free that don't work because of the
limited number out there. I'd venture a guess that Doepfer has an order of
magnitude (at least x10) more out there. How could Doepfer offer to fix
four thousand VCAs (just an imaginary example) or worse yet, two hundred
thousand jacks :-)
Just some thoughs,
KRIS
