Hello,
1. Analog Shift Register:

I see! The elephant is very like a tree!
2. Compander: Need Probably not. Useful Probably.
3. Variable-Width Band Pass Filter: Musically exciting!
Bring it on! Is there a link for the module under development
4. I - being a master of the exotic & absurd - would like to suggest a
Spike and Ripple module!
To explain: The envelope for some 'real' instruments contains an
extremely fast transient at the beginning followed by a fast attack.
What it looks like on an oscilloscope is a a spike, a small dip, and
then
an ordinary ADSR. This could be obtained with 2 ADSR's except that the
spike is much faster (narrower) than most ADSR's can produce.
For this half of the module I suggest the spike be of fixed duration,
but as narrow as possible, and of variable height (voltage).
To explain the other half of the module:
It usually takes several modules to introduce a delayed vibrato.
You may or may not want a delay before it starts. You may want to fade
the vibrato in gradually. You may want to fade the vibrato out
gradually. You may want to vary the depth and speed of the vibrato.
You may want to do all of these at the same time. You may want to use
this transient voltage to control the pitch, loudness, filter, reverb...
Boing and ringing!
With a bit of work and a lot of modules you can accomplish this. That
is why it is so seldom done.
It would be nice to free up all those other modules...
regards,
sfrules
