first of all thanks for the response. secondly I did try that to no avail -- i even put it in
another suitcase and it still did the same thing. now when i put it back in the original case
i turned it on and it blew the fuse!
so i think i will exchange it for another one...
oh and i meant to say that the pitch changes via the "ptich" knob not the CV knob.
