Of course a BBD Delay has a wonderful sound. I meanwhile own four (!!!)
of them; I also have extended the clock range of one of them to get the
sound you are descibing.
I did not want to damn BBDs. They are really fine for chorus, flanger,
first reflection sounds, and "old schoolish" echos. But I think, they
have only a minor usability for all kind of synthesises, which are based
on resonating short delays, because they can be played only in a narrow
range.
