Spot on. If a group member does not vote, no assumption can be made of
their interest.
I agree with some of the earlier posts that; yes, no and maybe are
restrictive. I think that all we need to do is agree a format of
responses for future polls, i.e.
Yes - Definitely purchase
Yes - Great idea but unlikely to purchase (may not fit with an
individuals use of modular)
Maybe - Would probably purchase but not high priority
Maybe - interesting idea, depends on final spec
No - Not interested

Hardly, that would be bad statistics, indeed. What percentage of members
of this yahoo group even pay attention to discussion, much less polls
How
many people signed on to have access to files or pictures, but left mail
delivery turned off
You'd be better off, if you must try to account for people who didn't
vote, to determine how many votes *other* polls typically get, arrive at
some average poll-participation number, then you can begin to look at
the
factor of whether or not a certain module was unattractive enough that
people didn't even bother to vote (in their usual numbers).
