Question: Is it possible to update the old manual to the new version
Upgrading the old manual would be possible but does not really make sense.
The old manual has to be dismantled completely and re-assembled. As the
parts of the manual (case, pressure sensor, pc board, position sensor) are
glued together the remains of the glues (especially a double sided foam tape
with excellent adhesive strenght) have to be removed carefully before the
manual can be re-assembled. Only the case and the position sensor of the old
manual can be used in the new manual. The pc board and the pressure sensor
have to be replaced and all parts have to be mounted together (glued and
soldered). Another problem is that the glued surface of the positions sensor
does not adhere anymore (or at least not very good) after it was removed
from the old manual. Because of the required working time and parts an
update would be more expensive than a new manual. But if you still want to
update your old manual you can get the required spare parts from us: pc
board, pressure sensor and glue material (double sided self-adhesive tape to
fix the pc board on the case, two small self-adhesive balance foils as the
pressure sensor is narrower than the position sensor). A manual how to
assemble the new manual is available (internal technical document, so far
only in German language, but with many explaining pictures).
Best wishes
