The four SSM VCAs are used to mix the outputs of the four filter stages of
the CEM filter to obtain the different filters. The different filters are
obtained by adding/subtracting the four filter stages:
output = A*stage1 - B*stage2 + C*stage3 - D*stage 4
The factors A,B,C, and D are realized with 4 VCAs (controlled by four analog
voltages that are generated with four microprocessor-controlled DACs and
four voltage controlled slew limiters to obtain the morphing between the
filters).
