i like setting all 4 units to ad, then trigger the first one from a
sequencer, in time. the other three will be triggered by the
comparators automatically. when each ad controls a vca of ,say, a
percussion sound, you can get really funky microsound rythms....and by
simply changing any parameter of the ad's the rhythm will change.
the 172
...is great for hybridising waveforms in audio-range, especially when
they are close to each other in frequency, but not perfectly in
tune....a quad lfo is great for creating drones with the 172. now if
you take the max and min outputs, run one through a vc polarizer, and
add them in a mixer you get *really* interesting subtle phase
cancellation effects...hehe. i actually bought two 172 and two 143/3's
for this
