hello follow modularist,
plenty of alternatives...
instead of buying the rs140 midi-cv, buy an a190 for
less and save money for more modules. of course the
rs140 has more features and an lcd, but there is a
cost difference.
some quick suggestions of not too exotic modules: a133
vc polarizer, a143-2 quad adsr, an a108 multislope
filter, a137 wave multiplier, a155 or rs200 sequencer
modules. more vca's, more envelopes, more mixers, more
lfo's. the a143-3 quad lfo would be a cheap start.
you're right about the vca. you'll need one more, and
a cv mixer too.
what can i say
if you live in europe, then doepfer will be a bit
cheaper for you. you decide.
my advice would be to study carefuly the doepfer and
AS websites. then, knowing each module's functions and
price, you decide what you buy next.
best regards,
bakis.
