To speak the truth I have no experience with the ARP Solus but only with the
Odyssey. Provided that the CV/Gate specs of both ARPs are identical there
should be no problem to control the Solus with the MCV4. You have to set the
internal gate jumper to +U as at least the Odyssey cannot be triggered with
+5V but requires at least ~ +8V gate level. A power supply with at least 9V
(better 12V) should be used for the MCV4. The CV output of the MCV4 has to
be referenced to the midi note that corresponds to 0V CV. For this the learn
button has to pressed (LED flashes) followed by an incoming midi note on
message that corresponds to 0V CV. Pay attention that really a midi note on
message is the next message after the learn button is operated. Other midi
messages (e.g. control change, program change) will also end the learn mode
without changing the reference note ! Please refer to the MCV4 user's
manual. The trimming potentiometer inside the MCV4 should be used only for
fine adjustment of the 1V/oct provided that the CV does not fit 100% to the
CV input of the device controlled by MCV4. It should not be used for offset
correction !
Best wishes
