From my experience daisy-chaining of BBDs increases the (already existing) noise very much. I'd expect that a 2048 stages BBD sounds much better than two daisy-chained 1024 stage BBDs. And the price for a 2048 stage BBD is not much more than for a 1024 stage BBD (the difference is only about 10% for the 1k prices - and we have to order a minimum of 1000 BBDs from the manufacturer). So I would prefer a 2048 stage BBD and a 1024 stage BBD to two daisy-chained 1024 stage BBDs. But we will have to see if the 1024 stage BBDs are available at all.
Best wishes
Dieter Doepfer
