Hey,
My name's Russ, and I'm new to the list. I've been poking around the archives for the last
few days, and just thought I'd make myself known. I also have a few questions, but I'll give
a little backhround first.
I'm mainly a bassist/guitarist/singer, but I'm growing more and more interested in synths
and the like. Just the sounds and everything really seem amazing to me. i don't really have
much in the way of any synthesizers, save some $100 Yamaha piece of junk. I am,
however, slowly building a music recording setup, albeit a simple one. I've got an old 8-
track casette and a brand new iBook.
All that to say, I'm not really sure where to start. My plan right now is to get a recording
interface for my iBook (thinking of that Presonus Firebox). The next step would be a midi
controller (CME keyboard, any other ideas ), and then Reason 3.0. I was going to fool
around with that, and try to learn the ropes, as it were, while saving up for the A-!00
minisystem. Does this sound like a good plan, or should I try something else
What I really want to do in the end is have all the tools necessary to make recordings on
my iBook using the A100. Am I starting in the right direction Or, where did all of you guys
start off
This board seems really helpful, and I've learned a lot already, so thanks in advance.
