Gino,
for someone who is a bit familiar with electronics it is not a problem to
replace the old the transformer by the toroid/ringcore transformer. For
older versions of the power supply one has to drill a hole for the
transformer mounting. Newer versions of the pc board (even those with the
standard transformer) have this hole already available.
We offer the toroid/ringcore transformers as spare parts but any other
transformer with 2x15V/1200mA will be OK.
And I have to repeat this boring comment: Any modification has to be carried
our by qualified persons only because of electrical safety (dangerous mains
voltage).
