Hi Dan,
First up - the busses in the g6 and g3 carry gate and CV too, so thats why
the 190 dosnt have to be connected to the 110 in order for the cv signal to
get through. If you ever wanted to feed a different cv into the 110, then
inserting a jack into the socket on the front breaks the connection between
the a110 and the cv line of the bus (even if its just a loose lead - think
of it as a physical switch in the socket)
When you talk of dip switches on the bus, are you meening the jumpers in the
middle of the bus They carry the cv and gate lines across from one side of
the bus to the other - so you can split the bus into two sepperate busses,
if thats how you like it.
I dont personally like the cv and gate lines on the bus at all, and have
made up custom power connectors for my mudules to carry only the power, and
no other signal. I like to patch on the front only.
Your error checking should go like this now..
Is the envelope getting the gate signal, and the led responding correctly
Is the release turned right down etc
If not, id plug a lead direct from the gate of the 190 to the cv of the 110,
and then listen for a sharp change in pitch when a note hits the 190.
With those, you can tell if its an issue at the 190, or the 140, or past
both of those, at the vca.
Quite possibly, if you determin where the issue is, the solution will be
clearer, but, if not, post up your findings again.
Cheers, Julian
(ps. will mail you about the lfos in a moment : )
