I've had a not-quite full G6 rack for a couple of months now (thanks
Julian for the start!) and I'm pondering how to fill the remaining space
or maybe swap out a couple of modules for the next rack (addictive this!)
The current complement is:
A-185 Bus Access
A-110 VCO x 3
A-119 Ext In
A-180 Multiples x 2
A-138 Mixer x 2 (exp/lin)
A-121 VCF2
A-102 VCF9
A-131 VCA (exp)
A-148 S&H
A-146 LFO2
A-147 VCLFO
A-140 ADSR x 2
A-171 VCSL
22u Empty
My thoughts on additions and changes:
Remove A-171 and A-119 to keep for the 2nd rack.
Maybe pull one Multiple if I need a few more u.
Add A-133 which would make up for the current lack of VCAs and also work
as inverters or simple gain elements.
Add A-170 which could work as an extra AR envelope
Then maybe another LFO and a filter of some sort, there isn't one that
well suited to bass sounds in there... I've seen positive comments about
the A-105 or just a plain A-120 There would still be space for another
8u module...

(As an aside, my sole negative comment is that the noise level is rather
weedy and benefits from a bit of gain (though the A-119) before going
into the S&H. The random voltage I love though and completely offsets
the above!)
