If the correct fuse is used: a misbehaving module cannot blow the PSU
permanently. The power regulating ICs are quite "well tempered", they
won't die with the first overload.
If you replace the fuse by chewinggum paper or similar hightech
workarounds, and if the module does a shortage of the powerrails then of
course finally you will destroy the PSU.
