I recently found a j-47 key (with no powersupply or anything like
that) but it seems to have all connections intact. I couldn't find
any documentation for the unit anywhere on the net, but there are
plenty of pictures of the unit, so I can only assume that it was a
popular model.
Ideally I would like to be able to have this key pass a Doepfer level
gate voltage (to use as an mpc style "tapper" for one-shot synth
noises with my a-100s...). Would it be as simple as hooking up a 5
volt battery to this the cross pins, and then taking the poled
outputs into my synth
I am assuming a battery or powersupply would be hooked up to the two
pins on the key swivel itself, and then spiltting out the current off
the red and white poles to an amp or voltage control source.. or
something like that.
Anyone tried anything like this (I know, it must sound hairbrained,
but I think it would be pretty fucking cool to be tapping out morse-
code style adsr'd filter settings, no ).
