I noticed that the VCF ENV response also suffers from this difference. It is most noticable with the patch B-15 "Planet", which has a very smooth feel to it on the standard 3P. I tried to emulate this patch closer than the defaults of the 3P Upgrade, but you can clearly hear that the ENV response is not the same. At the start and at the end of the filtersweep, the change is most apparant, the filter changes completely linear, it sounds quite boring, while the original had this silky feeling.

I understood from several people who created their own (poly)synths that logarithmic ENV responses feel much more natural than linear.
