Hello Quentin
I definitely recommend NOT(!) to change the tuning of the DCOs. The JX3P
with the upgrade sounds different, because it _IS_ a completely new
synth. It has nearly nothing to do with the old JX3P (at least at the
moment). Murray tried to copy the original preset sounds into this new
synth, but - sorry Murray - he failed in that for 50%, as he did not
have a second unmodified JX3P for comparison.
Also at the upgrade the maximum envelope amount to the filter is only
the half of the original amount (this is a bug, which will be fixed). So
all settings that rely on the original envelope amount will sound lush now.
So do not judge the new JX3P by comparison with the old one - at least
at the moment.
Murray now has a second JX3P for comparison, and a lot of people helped
him to list all bugs. I think we must await the next major release of
the firmware, which will adopt several changes, that bring the new JX3P
closer to the old one.

> Hello everyone, This is my first post since installing the chip upgrade. I believe my 3P sounds a lot different since the upgrade and i see here it has to do with the tuning of the dco's. I assume my board was factory tuned with an oscilloscope and might need to be adjusted now? If i use the DCO 2 fine tune to lock in there is still some phasing and it has to be timed with the slider perfectly, still then it goes out of phase eventually.
