Hmm, the problem is:

Either you have a JX3P with Organix-Upgrade or Kiwitechnics Upgrade.
Then the PE could send MIDI comands to the JX - but in both cases the
JX3P itself is no longer in Omni-Mode by default.

Or you have an original JX3P. Then you have to use the PE in the PG200
mode. In this case the MIDI-Out is used as PG200-port and not as MIDI.
So you cannot send MIDI commands via MIDI and it is not possible to send
the Omni Off Command via the PG200 protocol.
But with an original JX3P you always can use:
Press TAPE -> press and hold PRG-1 and press TAPE again.
Then an original JX3P is in in Poly mode (omni off) with Channel 1.
