I think, it is not a problem of failing. The problem is, that Murray
will have big difficulties to develope the keyboard/sequencer/...-things
for the JX10, which he did for the JX-3P.
If you ask out of general interest: We do not have solid experience
about the live cycle time of highly integrated chips from the eighties.
Basically the biggest problem might be, that other parts (as in the
powersupply) could fail and the consequences of those failures (e.g.
overvoltage) could destroy the digital chips too.
