Hi,
After more tests, it almost works fine. But there are still things I don't explain.
First, the global parameters are:
B1 = 1
B2 = 16 (tried with 1 too)
B3 = not used
B4 = 1
B5 = 1
B6 = 0
B7 =1
B8 = 0
B9 = 0
B10 = 0
B11 = 0
I've tried with 2 midi interfaces, with just one. The result is the same:
Now, I can play and record the jx-3p but, there are still midi artefacts occuring anytime. It's ok for a few measures and then the seq is pertubed by some midi notes.
There's always a high and a low note, and they never get off unless I use the panic button.
This is what I monitored when the artefact happens:
TIMESTAMP IN PORT STATUS DATA1 DATA2 CHAN NOTE EVENT
00286C77 14 10 9F 00 00 16 C -1 Note Off
00286C77 14 15 9F 00 00 16 C -1 Note Off
00286C79 14 10 9F 20 71 16 G# 1 Note On
00286C79 14 15 9F 20 71 16 G# 1 Note On
00286CF7 14 10 9F 20 00 16 G# 1 Note Off
00286CF7 14 15 9F 20 00 16 G# 1 Note Off
00286CF9 14 10 9F 00 71 16 C -1 Note On
00286CF9 14 15 9F 00 71 16 C -1 Note On
Note: the midi sequence doesn't play these notes.
It happens also when only the midi in is plugged in the 3p ! Very surprising !!
I really don't understand how it could sound like a midi loop with only the midi in connected.
Murray did you sequence the 3p in your tests 1 2
Nobody with the same problem 1 2
Thanks

I can also record chords with a piano sound, but I can't with a pad: when I release the keys, the notes are still active and then release after. Also, if I play a new chord or notes during this note sustaining, the midi recorder can't see the new notes.
