I see tapping into this point will run an external signal through the stereo chorus.

If you cut the trace here for the chorus input, can you use the other side of the trace as a JX-3P direct pre-chorus output that way you can still use the synth while running something else through the chorus.. or do you need additional circuitry for buffering/conditioning?
