This is normally caused by the midi hardware not sending the full file. If you are using midiOX try reducing the buffer size so that is sends slower and your hardware can keep up. The PE can take midi at full speed but it is a large file and a lot of midi hardware has trouble. The bootloader file is small which is why it works.

My update hangs at B190 in the 'DO NOT Power off' screen. Cycling the power brings up a v4.8 welcome message but it appears that only part of v4.8 in actually in the PE. When I cycle through the synth selection some of the screens are empty or are full of inverse letter p's. Cycling the power again at one of these screens starts the PE for the selected synth with the display restored. Display registers knob and slider action but don't send anything to the synth.

Bootloader is 2.9c, updated from 2.3d to 2.7c, then to 2.9c.

Anyone else experiencing this type of problem? I'm thinking it's something with my midi interface settings/timings. The bootloader appears to be intact.
