This sounds like a stuck midi note. There is a midi panic system that will stop all sound (Group A button) which does not require the synth to be switched off. This is detailed in the menu map.

I do not know of a problem with envs but I will check this when I get time.

2 issues I have that maybe you could help with.

First is that the JX3P sometimes sustains the note without me wanting it to. I then have to switch on and off thus losing the sound I was working with.

Second is that the envelopes don't seem to be affecting the oscillators. They only affect the main out.
