i actually found it to be quite an intricate job, since the traces on
the PCB i worked on were small and fragile, and a few came up when
pulling the chip, even though myself and another tech went and made
sure each pin was properly desoldered, a tiny bit must have hung on.
I had to replace a few traces with wires, not a huge deal. worked
perfectly upon putting it all back together :)

I was wondering if anyone knew a tech that could do the upgrade for me, as I don't quite have the soldering skills or tools to do it myself (yet!, getting there). I'm in San Francisco, but I suppose I could send just the main board to someone outside my area. Anyhoo… any help is appreciated. Thanks!
