just to be clear,
My synthech did the replacement of the main IC,
i didnt have the skill at the time to jump into that one.
It was mostly the unsoldering of the roland chip that had me nervous,
i didnt think i could do it without damaging the pcb or traces.
the chip replacement i was talking about above was the 4051 at ic4,
which is just a little 16pin chip, was pretty easy.
The upgrade has worked like it is supposed to, i just cant seem to get
the sens slider to do anything it is supposed to, and it is sending
out voltages, i checked that with a meter.
so we are going through a process of elimination to determine the problem.
The weird thing is, the 3p was fully functional before the upgrade.
anyways, we are now looking at a possible bad lm311 at ic20.
I was lucky to have an extra 4051 from some yusynth random gates i am building,
however, i am having trouble locating an lm311 (i think itts a
comparater) locally, looks like im going to have to order one online.
cheers
douglas
