Yes. Since Murray had to reprogram the presets, those are not really the
original ones, but the version of murray. Now: if Murrays JX-3P had a
low trimmed resonance his presets will have quite high settings.
I'd do it like that: Set an testsound with
DCO1 to 4"
DCO2 to 16"
Hard sync on
DCO2 to wave form noise
DCO1 to wave form rectangle
DCO Mix to DCO2 only
Set Resonance to maximum and Keyttracking to clean octave tracking. This
should result in some whistling sound.
Switch the DCO2 waveform to rectangle. The DCO sound should go away now.
Now set the Resonance trimmers that way, that the VCF still is making a
flute like sine sound - even at the low notes (check this also with low
Cutoff settings). The VCF should just start to make the sine. The best
setting is at the point where the sine starts to disappear at the next
move of the trimmer.
