Yes, there are four modifications to the MIDI pcb: two cuts, a removed resistor, and a cut jumper wire. The jumper wire must be removed for the Kiwi upgrade anyway but I'll make sure to restore the rest. Obviously, the ten wires connecting to the Organix mod will also need to be removed.

That's great that the ROM doesn't have to be replaced. Phew!

I've misplaced the IC socket provided with the upgrade. Could you advise on a suitable replacement?
