Thanks for that, I worked out that 'Tape Memory' needs to be pressed prior to 'Group A' as with the Tone settings. 

I've tried all these settings and nothing has fixed the Midi Loop when automating slopes in Ableton Live.

I'm not sure how to continue now but will test in another DAW to see if the problem is in Ableton Live.
