You have created a midi loop. The 3P resends any midi data it receives except for sysex commands. This is necessary if you are going to chain other synths or midi equipment after the 3P and is a fairly normal way to process midi. You need to break the loop somewhere either physically or in the program that is controlling the midi interface. Look for a 'pass midi' type of option in your setup.
